Acrylic Paintings Kite designs

Two of our primary schools created designs for kites using acrylic paints.  Each pupil had a canvas 30 x 30cm.  They planned a design on paper having done some online research.  Then they each painted their design onto this canvas. The canvases were block canvases which meant they didn’t need a frame.  The paintings were hung together to make a patchwork of designs.  The use of the same size of cavas gave a sense of coherency.  The results were very exciting.  They were shown in a public gallery.  You can see a virtual exhibition of the designs in the gallery on the schools blog and in the schools gallery.
