The Afghan Training Foundation is looking for an Outreach Worker to work out of its office in Harrow, West London, starting in late March/early April 2010.
You’ll be working with Afghan groups in London and across the country and recruiting, training and supporting Afghan “advocates” to raise awareness about Afghanistan among the wider population, including schools, faith groups, businesses and the media.
You’ll need to be a fluent Dari speaker and writer and possibly also speak other Afghan languages, such as Pashto.
You’ll be part of a team of staff and volunteers working in Afghanistan and the UK. You’ll be travelling the country meeting people, organising events and making things happen.
THIS IS NOT A JOB FOR THE FAINT-HEARTED!
You must have permission to work in the United Kingdom, be in good health and available to start if appointed from late March/early April.
