Sabar Gul

Sabar Gul is from Shul Gar District of Balkh province in the north of Afghanistan. She lives in a family of twelve people. She is 18 years old and before coming to Afghan action she was unemployed.

Her father died several years ago. She has a brother who has a family of 8 who so far has been the only bread winner in the family.

The whole family used to work in the fields as farmers but continuous drought forced them to move to Kabul.

Now she will be able to help her brother with the money she gets each month from Afghan Action that is provided by ArmorGroup (G4S) Risk Management.

After she finishes training in carpet weaving, she wishes to start her own business of carpet weaving.
