Fatima & Karima

Fatima & Karima and the rest of their family of nine live in a room rented for af600 per month in Pole Sokhta. Her father is a cart rider transporting wood for fuel.

They were not working until they came to Afghan Action. Now they is training to become carpet weavers.

They are from Balkh province, Fatima is 17 years old and Karima is 15 years old. They never attended school but have always wanted to learn and now that they are in Afghan Action, they have the opportunity to learn how to read and write.

Fatima & Karima moved 6 years ago from her home village to Kabul and they hope one day to start their own business together carpet weaving.
